Summer Workshops & Excursions

In the months of July and August of each year, we partner with local artists, creative businesses, and arts institutions to offer free workshop and excursion opportunities for Chinatown Art Studio youth. Workshops facilitate exploration around an array of visual arts mediums and disciplines, and are facilitated by our instructors and guest artists. Youth have attended workshops at art facilities and institutions, visited artist studios, and participated in other immersive creative opportunities. Each program is unique and responsive to youth’s interests; the goal is to use these experiences to empower youth in exploring their individuality, imaginations, and creative voice—in connection with local community and culture.
