Calligraphy Workshop
with guest artist Max Gibbons
For our unit on "Art as a Voice", we explored ways to use art to express important and underrepresented messages, perspectives, and voices.
Max Gibbons, calligrapher and muralist formerly based in the DMV, provided a virtual workshop on calligraphy basics, and demonstrated his technique by skillfully writing the name of each Chinatown Art Studio youth artist on placards!
